Katie is an economist specialising in international development, holding a BA in Economics and Development Studies from the University of Manchester and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge. Her academic pursuits included researching and completing dissertations on renewable energy projects in Bangladesh and Tajikistan.
Her dedication to renewable energy extends beyond academia, as evidenced by her role as a writer for The Climate News UK, where she explores Vietnam's advancements in electric vehicles. Prior to joining MKE, Katie gained practical experience through internships at the British Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City and Quareo Capital in London.
As a member of our economic consultancy team, Katie Brennan operates between our Hanoi and Yangon offices. She leverages her expertise in economics, international relations, and practical experience to tackle development challenges and support our clients in achieving their objectives.
