At MKE Hanoi, Ellen is working as researcher specializing in quantitative survey research, methodology, and data management. She enjoys supporting the implementations of formal and informal business surveys in SEA and the Pacific, as they contribute to important indicators of international development.

Before MKE, Ellen’s previous work was in survey methodology (UW Survey Center) and American race topics; in maternal mortality disparities (Green Inequality Lab) and interpersonal bias (Prejudice and Intergroup Relations Lab). At MKE, Ellen first joined the 6-month Internship Scheme in order to transfer her data skills to SEA development.

Ellen holds two BA (Hons) degrees in Psychology & Sociology with a focus in Quantitative Analysis and Research, as well as a certificate in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin; where she was also selected as a Phi Beta Kappa scholar.
