Merabi is Country Representative at Mekong Economics Myanmar.
Since joining Mekong Economics in 2016, Merabi has completed consulting assignments in Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand, on economic, social
and rural development projects.
His clients have included multilateral, bilateral and government agencies, research institutes, and international NGOs. Projects have included baseline studies, capacity building, intervention design, socio-economic assessments, economic policy research, results-based monitoring system development, value chain analyses, project management support, and impact evaluations.
Merabi has an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in Global Politics (Political Economy) from the London School of Economics (LSE), where his thesis explored the effects of liberal market reform on social unrest in seven developing nations.
