Alex is the Country Representative of Mekong Economics in Myanmar, having joined MKE in Vietnam in 2013. Since joining MKE he has worked as project manager
and economist on a wide range of projects for clients such as the World Bank, AFD, ADB, UNIDO, ActionAid, and other bilateral and multilateral donors, in areas such as impact evaluation, research, and survey design and implementation, and project coordination.
Before joining MKE Alex worked for UNORCID in Jakarta, working on REDD+ and deforestation issues in the country, after having worked with NGOs across Asia, including for the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh and Global Hands in Hong Kong. He has also had experience in the private sector, having held a position at HSBC in Hong Kong.
Alex holds an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and a BSc in Economics and French from the University of Birmingham.
