Siddhartha has a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Economics from the University of Manchester and an MRes in Economics from the University of Bristol. Siddhartha’s MRes dissertation developed and simulated a growth model to study how the size of the political elite within a country might mediate the effects of foreign
aid on its economy.
His responsibilities at Mekong Economics include monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded projects and authoring and presenting papers for international, intergovernmental and other organisations. He previously worked for the Observer Research Foundation, a New Delhi-based policy think tank, where his research sought to shed light on the potential for decentralisation to engender accountability in public service provision in India.
