Early Warning System – Capacity Building of Ministry of Finance in Selected DMCs for ASEAN Surveillance Process (Phase II)
This ASEAN-wide RETA project was designed to strengthen the capacity of the Ministries of Finance (MoF) in selected DMCs to understand and forecast financial crises. The objective of the project was to develop such capacities, and in particular to improve the quality of financial system monitoring for ASEAN Finance Minister meetings.
Making Markets Work Better for the Poor - The Operation of Land Markets and Poverty Issues in Northern Vietnam
The ADB Vietnam Resident Mission implemented a regional project entitled Making Markets Work Better for the Poor (MMW4P). The purpose of the project is to (a) conduct analytical work on the functioning of markets and the extent to which the poor are able to benefit from them, and (b) to build capacity to support pro-poor market development through research activities, networking and the promotion of policy dialogue.
Policy Briefing Kit on SMEs in Vietnam
The Policy Briefing Kit on Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in Vietnam provided an overall picture of the current situation of SME development in Vietnam. Included in the kit was information on the performance of SMEs, relevant legislation, donor projects (closed, current and pipeline), and key officials and academics relevant to the sector. A file of media clippings with over 60 relevant articles from English language newspapers and journals was also included, along with a small number of library and internet addresses where information on SME development in Vietnam can be found. The Policy Briefing Kit was intended to be a helpful document for researchers, policy makers and potential donors with an interest in SME and private sector development in Vietnam
Comprehensive Survey of Public Administration Reform
The purpose of this survey was to gather and synthesize all the background documentation, research and statistics relating to the Public Administration Reform (PAR) strategy. This was a comprehensive survey of the material and data. A Public Administration survey accompanied the three working papers and gathered all relevant documents and statistics on the subject.
Asian Development Outlook (ADO) 2003
The Asian Development Outlook, popularly known as the ADO, is a series of annual economic reports on the developing member countries (DMCs) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The ADO provides a comprehensive analysis of macroeconomic and development issues for the DMCs of ADB.
